SUMMARY. A method is reported for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of less than milligram quantities of sebum into its lipid components using thin‐layer absorption chromatography. The procedure has been developed to study relatively large numbers of samples, such as are collected from subjects taking part in a clinical therapeutic trial.
