An epizootic in imported carp ( Cyprinus carpio L.) was examined by bacteriological, viro‐logical and histological methods. The microbiological investigations did not reveal the aetiology of the disease, but the histological description of the lesions is similar to that for carp erythrodermatitis ‘CE’.
