The combination of PAA-PANi/Cu and SiOx/graphite (SG) composite was fabricated via in-situ polymerisation process. The electrode reveals a first discharge capacity of 1455.3 mAh g−1 with the initial coulombic efficiency (ICE) of 73.85% and capacity of 903.8 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g−1. The outstanding electrochemical performance could be traced to the 3D stereoscopic structure of conductive hydrogels, which could provide a large internal space. And also the Cu ion could enhance the conductivity of the SGPP.
