This study tried to identify determinants of household food security. It used across-sectional study design and mixed data analysis technique. Primary data was mainly collected from 366 household heads. HFIAS was used to evaluate household food security status. A binary logit model was used to identify determinants. The study results indicate that the majority (82.8%) of the sample households are food insecure. Family size, average monthly income, participation in non-farm activities, and total livestock units were statistically significant determinants. Therefore, it is necessary to increase interventions on the identified determinants. These findings can inform policies aimed at meeting SDG two.
