A high-order functional waveform generation scheme based on three-channel synthesis is proposed and analyzed. Each channel comprises a Mach-Zehnder modulator, frequency shifter, and image-reject mixer. The combined output generates a waveform containing up to the sixth-order harmonics, enabling high-order waveform construction. By tuning the Mach-Zehnder modulator parameters and frequency shifts, precise control over harmonic coefficients is achieved. The proposed scheme was experimentally validated, and the results confirmed its feasibility, demonstrating the successful generation of triangular waves with a repetition frequency of 3 GHz and tunable symmetry coefficients.
