Some recent measurements on internal pressure P i of two elastomers, a silicone rubber and an ethylene–propylene copolymer, at various elongation ratios λ are reported. Results so far obtained show that P i varies with λ; this behavior is discussed in the light of recent theories of rubber elasticity.
