Introduction: Seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects sebaceous gland-rich areas, such as the scalp, face, and chest.Though it is not life-threatening, it can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life, especially when visible lesions lead to social stigma and emotional distress.Conventional treatments often rely on antifungal and anti-inflammatory agents but may have limitations, including side effects and recurrence.Homeopathy, with its holistic and individualized approach, offers an alternative that addresses both the physical and psychological dimensions of the disease.Case description: This report presents a 21-year-old female with SD characterized by white, flaky eruptions on the scalp, face, and chest. Her condition was complicated by psychological distress caused by family rejection and financial constraints.Intervention and outcome: Sepia officinalis 200C was prescribed, initially.Due to an aggravation of symptoms, Arsenicum album 200C was administered, resulting in significant improvement. The Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) improved from 16 to 1 over the course of 60 days, and the patient remained relapse-free for 1 year. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the potential of individualized homeopathic treatment in managing SD holistically.Further research is warranted to substantiate these findings on a larger scale.
