This note presents the results for minimum spouting velocity in beds up to 1.1 m diameter. New evidence is provided that for fixed aspect ratio the minimum spouting velocity first falls and then begins to rise as bed diameter is increased. A simple correction factor applied to the Mathur and Gishler minimum spouting velocity correlation is required for beds ≥ 0.4 m diameter.
