It is pointed out that, strictly, neither the localized model nor the collective electron model predicts the Curie-Weiss law; consequently, its application to experimental data would lead to results of doubtful significance. It is suggested that it is more advantageous to plot Q (=(χ T ) -1 ) against T -1 . This is illustrated with recently evaluated magnetic susceptibility curves for a face-centred cubic system, taking into account ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic, first and second neighbour Heisenberg interactions.
