The relative photoionization cross sections for the production of the 2s²2p⁴{(}³$P)3p${(}⁴$P^∘{}) satellite state of neon has been measured from its threshold at 52.1--60.5 eV. The spectrum is dominated by resonance structure, which can be identified as autoionization of numerous doubly excited neutral states.
