Effect of synthetic routes on the rate performance of Li-rich layered Li 1.2 Mn 0.56 Ni 0.12 Co 0.12 O ₂

Different morphologies and compositions of Li-rich layered cathode materials of Li 1.2 Mn 0.56 Ni 0.12 Co 0.12 O ₂ (LMNCO) are successfully synthesized by solvothermal and coprecipitation methods. The sample prepared by the solvothermal method exhibits superior performance in rate capability and discharge capacity.
