A multi-pupil interaction scheme using acousto-optic frequency offsets and heterodyne detection is proposed in order to perform simultaneously a number of bipolar incoherent processing operations in a scanning optical system. An example is shown in which the low pass and the first two derivatives of an intensity distribution are obtained in a single scan using two clear pupil apertures.
