The precise nature of this disease appears to be uncertain because a number of conditions including allergic asthma, febrile reactions (grain fever), fibrosis of the lungs, allergic alveolitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have been reported (1, 2). A number of symptom complexes or illnesses may occur in this occupationally exposed group as a result of the numerous substances that make up grain dust: grain...References1.
