In Part 1 of this review (Fletcher & McKce, 1984), the malignant fibrohistiocytic tumours and the epithelioid sarcoma of Enzinger were discussed. In Part II (Fletcher and McKee, 1985), malignant nerve sheath tumours and sarcomas arising from smooth and striated muscle were dealt with. In this third part, the malignant vascular tumours (excluding Kaposi's sarcoma which is currently receiving extensive coverage in the world literature) are reviewed along with fibrosarcoma and synovial sarcoma, which present less commonly to the dermatologist.
