Summary. The tissue specificity of non‐plasma cerebrospinal fluid antigens was studied by various quantitative immunoelectrophoretic techniques using antisera against cerebrospinal fluid, brain, serum, urine, liver, erythrocyte membrane, immunoglobulins G, A, and M, λ and χ chains, fibrinogen, plasminogen, α 2 microglobulin, and β 2 microglobulin. Furthermore, CSF antigens were compared to antigens of plasma, urine, and extracts of brain, liver, muscle, and erythrocytes. The antiserum against brain was able to precipitate 11 antigens in the CSF. Two of these antigens were only found in CSF and brain extract.
