N. T. Gridgeman has noticed a misplaced entry on p. 517 of the above referenced paper. The entry with rank sums 33, 33, 39, 39 and parameter values ·34, ·34, ·16, ·16 should have the value 13·450 for the test statistics B1 and be moved to the appropriate place in the right-hand half of p. 517. This change means that values of P for 28 entries beginning with rank sums 31, 34, 38, 41 down to rank sums 33, 35, 35, 41 should be decreased by ·0037. The value of P for the misplaced entry becomes ·2294 as it is moved to its proper position. We are grateful to Mr. Gridgeman for pointing out this error but note that it is unlikely that it has produced any serious difficulties in practical applications of the procedures.
