Critical Micelle Concentration Reduction of Aqueous Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Solutions upon the Addition of Alcohols

Abstract

Linear relations were found between the critical micelle concentration (CMC) reduction and the carbon number of the alcohols added both at 313.15 K and 328.15 K. The slopes of the CMC reduction against the carbon number of the alcohols are almost the same at 298.15, 313.15, and 328.15 K.
