The Kim-Anderson model of flux pinning in a hard superconductor is used to compute the magnetization of a cylindrical sample for a number of typical magnetization paths. Experimental magnetization cycles for a ternary lead alloy in different states of anneal are compared with the computation and the possible significance of the exhibited deviations is discussed.
