A scheme of a fibre-optic parametric oscillator for picosecond pulse generation with wide wavelength-tunability is proposed on the basis of a dispersion-flattened-fibre gain medium and is indeed implemented with either of 1415–1505 or 1600–1750 nm operation wavelength ranges and 6–400 pJ pulse energy.
