Integral equations are given for the kinetic analysis of several free‐radical polymerization schemes. These relationships combine conversion and reaction time as variables directly accessible by experiment. In this way is obtained a higher accuracy than with the usual differential treatment and a deeper quantitative insight into individual reaction steps is possible. A modified Mayo equation is derived which takes into account monomer consumption and initiator decomposition and which, in the case of a polymerization with primary radical termination, also enables the estimation of the ratio disproportionation/combination solely by time‐conversion and molecular weight data.
