Labeled ACTH has been prepared by incubating minced tissue from transplantable mouse pituitary tumors in a medium containing high specific activity 14C-amino acids. The purified peptide product exhibited substantial ACTH biological activity. The data for amino acid composition and molecular weight are quite similar to those for porcine ACTH. The system proved to be an inefficient one for the biosynthesis of labeled ACTH. (Endocrinology86: 700, 1970)
