Dependence of time‐average electroluminescence output on field strength and frequency is observed for frequencies up to 20 kcps for green and blue emission. The field dependence can be described either by a power law or by an exponential law. The frequency dependence is discussed in terms of theoretical relations connecting the light output to recombination characteristics or to polarization effects. The polarization effects are of minor importance. Light outputs from sinusoidal and square wave excitation are compared.
