A practically complete analysis of Pd I is given, based on previous analyses. The electron structures are d¹⁰, d⁹5s, $6s$, $7s$ (part of) $8s$ (part of) d⁸s² (incomplete) d⁹5p, d⁸sp and d⁹6p (parts of), d⁹5d, d⁹6d (almost complete). The presence of an unidentified level k₁ is discussed and it is shown that the only explanation within the Hund theory is that k₁ is a hyperfine structure component of 5d³P₁. Such an assignment presents very great difficulties.
