Summary Estimates of the total content of Si, Al, Fe, K, Na, Ca, Mg, Ti, Rb, Li, Ba, Sr, V, Cr, Co, Zr, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ga, and Mn in the fine earth of nineteen Ghana forest soil profiles were found to be related to the underlying geological formations. A general tendency was noted for the content of Al, Fe, Ca, V, Cr, Ga, and Ti to increase with depth and for the Si and Mn content to decrease with depth.
