The chemical preparation is described of linear polyalkene ureas from aliphatic α,ω‐diamines and carbon oxysulphide. Using chemical and physical methods, the mechanism of the poly‐condensation reaction is studied and a satisfactory picture of the structure and of the mode of formation is obtained. After melt‐spinning the products can be cold‐stretched to form strong and flexible fibres
