The method and application of dimensional analysis are discussed, making use of the fundamental concept of function. The π theorem is restated and proved in general form. Pipe friction, drag of spheres, and flow through Venturi meters are examples used to illustrate the rearrangement of dimensionless products of a relationship to obtain the most convenient form for presentation of data.
