A STUDY has been made of some of the circumstances associated with the development of carcinoma of the uterine fundus in 255 patients. To this end, the clinical and pathological data on all cases of primary carcinoma of thc endometrium treated on the gynecological service of the Roosevelt Hospital from 1915 to January I , 1947, have bern reviewed. The findings agree in several respects with previous reports but differ or lend themselves to alternate interpretations in others.Coupled with previously published data in the literature, the present analysis helps to clarify some of the clinical and pathological aspects of endometrial cancer and sheds further light on the probable etiology of the disease.
