Broadband wavelength tunable microlasers are built based on the monomer–excimer dual luminescence in organic-dye-doped whispering-gallery-mode resonators. The lasing modes can be reversibly switched between the two emission bands by introducing an appropriate photochromic compound into the flexible cavity, providing profitable enlightenment for the design and fabrication of soft photonic devices with specific functionalities.
