A new 3D framework {[Eu2Cu(IN)5(CO3)(H2O)] ⋅3 H2O}n (1) was obtained and structurally characterized, containing CuI and an unusual lanthanide duplex chain. The luminescent explorations of compound 1 suggest that 1 could emit the characteristic emission of CuI, and 1 can act as the luminescent sensor of ClO− with the detection limit of 10−5 m. Notably, 1 represents the first example of MOF‐based sensor for detecting ClO−.
