The solidus and liquidus for the pseudo‐binary alloy system HgTeCdTe has been determined with differential thermal analysis and X‐ray techniques. Solid solution exists throughout the system. The liquidus deviates slightly from the linear but the solidus rises very slowly with increasing CdTe concentration to approximately 40 mol%. At higher concentrations the increase is more rapid.
