A rotating disk electrode has been applied to the measurement of the kinetics of fast electrode reactions. Standard exchange current densities up to about 10 amp/cm 2 /mole/liter have been obtained for reversible redox systems by extrapolating the measured current to infinite speed of rotation in order to eliminate diffusion polarization.
