We have found that Fe atoms in Fe/MgO multilayered films prepared in the UHV condition have a magnetic moment larger than that for bulk α-Fe. The magnetization of Fe atoms in Fe/MgO (10 Å/15 Å) film is about 240 emu/g at 4.2 K. The hyperfine field is 350 kOe at 4.2 K, which is also larger than that of bulk α-Fe.
