The transition probabilities for magnetic dipole (MI) and electric quadrupole (E2) transitions within the ground-state configuration 1s 2 2s 2 2p 2 of Ne V, Si IX, Ca XV and Fe XXI have been calculated using multi-configurational wavefunctions. The authors have included spin-orbit, spin-other-orbit, spin-spin, Darwin and mass correction terms in the Hamiltonian. Results are compared with other work.
