Computational study demonstrates digital quantum simulation of non-Hermitian master equations using Bravyi-Kitaev mapping, highlighting accuracy gains from higher-order Trotterization.
We study the digital quantum simulation of a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian derived using the thermofield dynamics (TFD) approach. The Hamiltonian is mapped to qubit operators through the Bravyi–Kitaev transformation, and its time evolution is approximated using Suzuki–Trotter decompositions of increasing order. Explicit quantum circuits are constructed and benchmarked against exact evolution. Convergence is analyzed using the lowest real quasi-energy extracted from the evolution operator, revealing that higher-order Trotterization improves accuracy at the cost of increased circuit depth.
