The KLN crystal K 2.89 Li 1.55 Nb 5.11 O 15 was pulled from the melt. Piezoelectric and elastic constants were measured from room temperature to about 120°C by observing resonant and antiresonant frequencies of bars and plates. The electromechanical coupling factors k 15 , k 31 , k 33 and k t were 0.34, 0.18, 0.52 and 0.53 respectively. The temperature coefficients of elastic compliances T s 33 E and T s 66 E were fairly small and were -0.98 and 0.075 × 10 -4 /°C, respectively.
