On the Distribution of Algae in a Group of Six Small Ponds

In the first part of this investigation (Rao, 1953), the general distribution of the algal flora of a series of six small ponds, situated on Hadley Common in southern Hertfordshire, was described and an attempt was made to correlate this distribution with the principal chemical factors of their water. In the present paper the periodicity of the algae of these ponds, as observed over a period of two years, is considered.
