Stepfamilies: myths and realities

Although the number of step-families in this country has rapidly increased in recent years, professionals have paid little attention thus far to the needs and probblems of these families. The author discusses the emotional issues that often confront stepparents and stepchildren and describes a program to help stepparents better deal with them.
