This paper presents a two-scale iterative method (TIM) for predicting the normal contact pressure for tire/road contact. The numerical results show high resolution contact patterns for real road surfaces. The predicted results are compared to the contact pressure measured between a slick tire and several road surfaces. The best correlations are obtained for model surfaces that are composed of spherical punches and real road surfaces of moderated or high macro-texture.
