The external transport numbers relative to a porous glass separator and the internal transport numbers relative to bromine were determined for the bromide room temperature ionic liquid at 60°C over the range of mole fractions, . The average external transport number of the 1‐methyl‐3‐ethylimidazolium cation was found to be , while the average internal transport number of this ion was found to be over this concentration range. However, the internal transport number of the cation was greater than this value for compositions in which and less than 1.01 in the range . These results suggest that the extant anions in each composition range may exhibit unequal mobilities.
