High-field magnetisation measurements and Mossbauer experiments, with and without an applied field, have been performed on Li 1.125 Ti 1.25 Fe 0.625 O 4 spinel in the temperature range 4.2-300 K. A coherent interpretation of the results is based on both Fe spin canting at A and B sites and on a transverse-component relaxation between preferential directions in the temperature range T N -T f .
