The neutrons emitted from a nitrogen gas target bombarded by 7.7 MeV deuterons have been investigated using the photographic plate technique. The existence of six excited states of 15 O has been established and certain predictions about the spins and parities of these levels have been made by comparing the observed angular distributions of the corresponding neutron groups with those based on a nuclear stripping theory.
