In this study, the antioxidant contents such as α-tocopherol, β-carotene, ferulic acid and gallic acid and, total phenolic and proteine contents of some medicinal plants were determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and UV-visible spectrophotometer, respectively. It was found that (i) the contents of antioxidant, phenolic and protein of plants were different according to plant types, (ii) the types, which have the most α-tocopherol, β-carotene, ferulic acid and gallic acid contents, were Rosmarinus officinalis L., Mentha piperita L., Mentha piperitaL. and Equisetum hyemale L., respectively, (iii) in general, E. hyemale L. had the most antioxidant content, (iv) there will be a relationship between α-tocopherol and gallic acid contents, and between β-carotene and ferulic acid contents of plants, and (v) Hypericum perforatum L. and Glycrrhiza glabra L. had the most phenolic and protein contents, respectively.
