A continuum theory treating the simultaneous scattering of phonons by fixed dislocations, by the mobile dislocation core and by three-phonon processes (N-processes) in a crystal of finite dimensions, is described. In the theory the scattering of phonons is calculated with the aid of non-linear elasticity theory, taking fully into account anisotropy of the crystal. This theory permits the interpretation of a number of experiments on lattice thermal conductivity.
