Superparamagnetic silica nanocomposites with an ultrahigh loading density of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via a novel oil-in-DEG microemulsion route. The obtained composite nanospheres possess a well-defined superparamagnetic property and demonstrate a strong magnetic response.
