The aim of this paper is to provide an update on the UK electric gun research programme, concentrating on work carried out since the last EML Symposium in 1994. The paper covers work being carried out by the DRA into electro-thermal (ET) and electromagnetic (EM) guns. Both of these programmes are focused on developing an understanding of the technologies and demonstrating their potential to the MOD military customers.
