AutoCAD can be utilized to digitize and manage ECG graphic records for database generation and further processing.
Facilitates digitization of legacy ECG records for databases; leaves open validation for clinical use and research scalability.
An instrumentation scheme using Computer Aided Design & Drafting (AutoCAD) application package has been used on the graphic records of ECG obtained from single channel chart recorder to generate database. This database can be subjected to the usual database management techniques. This database can also be further processed for other applications. The features of AutoCAD for magnification or reduction of a part or whole of the ECG record will be an added advantage.
