13C and 19F nuclear magnetic relaxation rates in liquid CFBr3 have been measured at 14.1 kG. By assuming that the motion of the molecules at low temperatures follows the classical diffusion model, the contributions of various relaxation mechanisms have been resolved and the spin–lattice relaxation times of bromine isotopes estimated. In addition, the scalar coupling constants between 19F and 79Br and between 13C and 79Br have been estimated to be 30.5±1.5 Hz and 124.2±7.0 Hz, respectively.
