The charge exchange collision between Ar 7+ (1.75 KeV a.m.u. -1 ) and He has been studied by VUV spectroscopy. In the single-electron capture process, Ar 6+ (nl) is observed, n=4 being populated. Absolute cross sections have been measured. Double capture is identified and populated levels are assigned.
