Relativistic configuration-interaction calculations of the 4s4p excitation energies and 4s 2 -4s4p E1 transitions for Zn-like ions from Z = 30 to 92 are shown.B-spline basis functions are used for these large-scale calculations.QED corrections to the excitation energies are also calculated. Results are in good agreement with other theories and with experiment, and demonstrate the utility of this method for high-precision atomic structure calculations not just for few-electron systems but also for large atomic systems such as Zn-like ions along the entire isoelectronic sequence.
