Ultrafast NH breaking in pyrrole: Using resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization, hydrogen-atom formation by photodissociation of pyrrole molecules was monitored with femtosecond time resolution. The results indicated two fast time constants (see picture), which were interpreted within the framework of a nonradiative decay mechanism for aromatic biomolecules.
